Oregon Residential Tax Incentives

Oregon solar incentives are some of the highest in the nation. Along with the Federal Tax Credit, Oregon Energy Trust incentives and utility rebates, the State of Oregon has a solar rebate of up to $6,000, helping cover up to 80% of the cost of a new solar energy system.

Residential Solar Incentives

Oregon has some of the best rebates in the country but they are running out soon. Contact us today and join over 7,500 other Oregon homeowners that have decided to switch to solar.

Federal Solar Tax Credit (FTC)

The FTC is a 30% tax credit that you can claim on your taxes the year the solar system was purchased and installed. You can claim 30% of the entire project cost the first year, if you don’t use it all the first year you can carry over your tax credit for up to 5 years.

Oregon State Tax Credit

The State of Oregon offers home owners a tax credit of $1.50 per watt (up to $6,000) that they can claim on their taxes. The maximum a customer can claim is $1,500 per year over the course of 4 years.

Oregon Energy Trust Cash Incentive (Residential Solar)

If you are a customer of Portland General Electric (PGE) or Pacific Power you will receive a cash incentive from the Oregon Energy Trust upfront before your solar panels have even been installed. This rebate goes directly to the installers and comes off the purchase price of the system making it even more affordable to go solar. Current Oregon Energy Trust incentives are listed below:

Portland General Electric Customers: $.45 per watt (up to $5,000)
Pacific Power Customers: $.60 per watt (up to $6,500)

Utility Rebates

Not all utility providers in Oregon offer solar rebates and/or incentives, please contact us with any questions regarding incentives in your area. We work with all utilities in the State of Oregon, from Salem Electric to Tillamook PUD. If your utility provider offers solar incentives, we will do all the
necessary paperwork so you can obtain your rebates.
